Sonoma – Jewel of Sonoma County Wine Country

Lovely Sonoma is the quintessential Sonoma County wine country city.  Sonoma is centered on its fabulous square which houses its city hall, its library, a great playground for the kids and a beautiful park for the adults.  Around the square in Sonoma you will find plenty of great restaurants, cafes, shops and wine tasting rooms.  Whether you want fine dining or a quick snack there is something for everyone.  At one end there is even the Sonoma mission, the Mission San Francisco Solano.  So, if you have time at the end of a busy day of wine tasting you can take in a little history, too!

Since Sonoma is in the heart of wine country you can literally walk to not only wine tasting rooms but a fabulous winery as well!  Sebastiani Winery is just a short lovely stroll down tree-lined streets away.  Here you can relax and taste some of the wonderful wine of the Valley of the Moon.  From a light Sauvignon Blanc to an easy-to-drink Merlot to a fruity Zinfandel there is sure to be a wine to please every palate.  When you are finished there are plenty more wineries to be explored!  The Valley of the Moon has many, many excellent wineries that each make great wine.  The only problem will be choosing which to visit first!  Remember to take your time and relax – that’s the spirit of wine country!
