These roads are twisty and windy, but if you take a wine country limo tour you’ll be able to sit back and relax, knowing your limo driver has driven these roads many, many times.
Some of our favorite wineries with some of the best wine in Sonoma County are just outside Healdsburg. Westside Road has lots of choices with many, many different wineries strung out along its beautiful curves. You’ll have a choice of lots of wineries all with great views.
A particularly good one for a lazy Sunday afternoon? Armida Winery has a great deck shaded by mature oaks. There are tables for picnics and a bocce ball set all of which take advantage of the phenomenal views. Pair that with their fantastic Zinfandel and Cabernet wine and you have a winning combination for a great afternoon in wine country.
Healdsburg is in the middle of three amazing wine areas. To the north of Healdsburg is the beautiful Dry Creek Valley. We particularly love the bold Zinfandel and Cabernet wine that comes from this area. To the south of Healdsburg is the fabulous Russian River Valley. We love the great Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that grow particularly well in this cooler wine region. To the east of Healdsburg is the wonderful Alexander Valley, where they grow a wide variety of wine grape varietals. To the south-east of Healdsburg is the great Chalk Hill region. This means that there is lots of great wine to choose from in Healdsburg!
